History of Phara Farm Arabians

Lewisfield Sun God, the inspiration for Annette Weber of Phara FarmThe history of Phara Farm Arabians begins with the incomparable Lewisfield Sun God. It takes a remarkable horse to make an impression so strong that a breeding farm follows his breeding line for 50+ years, undaunted by the pressure of popular fads. That horse was the Crabbet descendent, Lewisfield Sun God. He was the most truly classic Arabian we had ever seen and the more the breed turned to Saddlebred type, the more determined we were to stay with this classic Arabian type.

To put this breeding program together we had to find the best possible individuals with similar breeding. Since Lewisfield Sun God was the product of inbreeding the full siblings, Aaraf and Aarafa by *Raffles (Skowronek x *Rifala) and out of Aarah (Ghadaf x Nadirat), we started with an Aaraf grandson, Golden Pharao (La Flag x Bint Maaroufa) and the Ben-Hur bred mare, Aazkafra (Aaraf x Aazkara). Their first foal was Golden Reflection, a chestnut stallion who was double Aaraf and triple Aarah.

The next important acquisition was our foundation mare, Sun God Heiress (Lewisfield Sun God x Tailormade Binta), and we later purchased our second Lewisfield Sun God daughter, Lewisfield Sunny (Lewisfield Sun God x Farsanna). Bred to Golden Reflection, Sun God Heiress produced Sun God Reflection and, when mated to her own son, our senior sire, Eclipse of the Sun. These horses set up our breeding group of top quality class A halter champions and most classic winners. We now have individuals with five and six generations of Phara breeding linebred to the incomparable
Lewisfield Sun God.
